Five Moroccan creators have been selected as finalists for the 2026 Arab World Institute Design Prize in Paris. Their presence across several categories highlights the growing international influence of Moroccan design.
The shortlisted projects combine contemporary aesthetics with craftsmanship, recycled materials, architecture and social responsibility. Rather than reproducing traditional forms, the designers reinterpret Moroccan knowledge for an international audience.
This collective achievement is especially significant because Paris remains an important global centre for culture and design. The nominations give Moroccan creators access to new professional networks, media exposure and potential collaborations.
The final selection confirms that Moroccan design is increasingly recognised as a source of innovation rather than merely decorative inspiration.
