Hot weather is expected in several parts of Morocco, particularly the Saiss, Souss, southeastern regions and Saharan provinces. Local thunderstorms and showers may also affect the Rif, the Atlas Mountains and the eastern highlands.
These contrasting conditions can cause sudden changes in visibility and road conditions. Residents and travellers are advised to follow official weather reports, remain cautious near valleys and avoid exposed areas during thunderstorms.
During periods of intense heat, health precautions are equally important. Drinking enough water, limiting direct exposure to the sun and paying particular attention to children, older people and vulnerable individuals can reduce health risks.
